It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Ann Schmitt of Kickapoo, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Stenger and Sophie Mae Stenger (Schimmelpfennig); and her husband Robert C. Schmitt (Bob). She is survived by: her children, Jeffery Schmitt (Jenny) of Kickapoo, Jane Bunbury (Sean) of Mazomanie, WI, Robert Schmitt II (Linda) of Gibson City, IL, Rebecca Roling (John) of Kickapoo and Lucinda Loos (Tom) of Kickapoo; her grandchildren, Jillian, Jett, Joseph, Cody, Bridgett, Casey, Shannon, Kate, Claire, Brooks, Zachary, Gabe, Ella, Jessica, Glenn, Robert, Charles and Valerie; her siblings, Frank Stenger (Dorothy) of Kickapoo and Bette Lowry (Joe) of Bayview Gardens; and her brother-in-law Larry Schmitt (Jane). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
Preferred memorials in Carol's memory may be made to St. Mary School in Kickapoo.
