He was predeceased by : his parents, Ira Smith and Mary Smith (Burrell); and his daughter Trisha Smith. He is survived by : his children, Everett M. "J. R." Smith, Jr. (Daphne) of Bath and Maxette Ratliff (Ed) of Bluffs, Illinois; his grandchildren, Sara, Matt, Quentin, Trey, Bryce and MacKenzie; and his great grandchildren, Faith and Brock.
