He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Dote and Lucille Dote (Altiere); his wife Jo Ann Zimmerman; and his brother Richard Dote. He is survived by: his son David Dote (Kenneth Tudor) of Kingston; his brother Donald Dote of Osceola, Missouri; his nephew Richard Dote (Kelly) of Spring Grove; and his niece Karen Marie Reaber (Paul) of Chicago.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Honquest Family Funeral Home-Loves Park Chapel (4311 N Mulford Rd, Loves Park, IL 61111).
