He is survived by: his wife Dottie; his sons, Ronald Payton, Jr. (Renee) and Tracy Payton (Kim); his grandchildren, Ronald III (Megan), Andrew and Lauren; his great grandchildren, Niko and Giovanna Payton; his siblings, Robert, David, Maxine and Billie Jean; his stepsons, Ted Anderson (Joyce), Dale Anderson (Beckey) and Chad Bakley (Debbie); and his daughter-in-law Lola Phillips.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home (132 W Main St, Genoa, IL 60135). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
