Alice O'Leary Obituary

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kuhlman and Barbara Marcella Kuhlman (Eident); her husband Michael William O'Leary; her son Patrick Kevin O'Leary; and her siblings, Junior Kuhlman, Norma Jean VanMater, Mary Carpenter, John Kuhlman, Emma Jean Austin and Carol Ann Fancher.

She is survived by: her children, Karen Ritter (Allen) of Xenia, Michael O'Leary (Anita) of Kinmundy and Marcie Smith (Neal) of Salem; her grandchildren, Brandon Ritter, Breanna Engel, Erin Engel, Beth Durbin, Dr. Pam Milano, Eric Smith, Janelle Smith, Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Smith, Luke O'Leary, Will O'Leary, Rachel O'Leary and Macy O'Leary; her siblings, Gerald Kuhlman (Judy) of Mason, Dewey Dean Kuhlman of Effingham, Sharon Jones of Farina, Linda Edwards of Effingham and Judy Austin (Danny) of Mason; her sister-in-law Marilyn O'Leary of Edgewood; and her caregivers, Alice Ashley and Shirley Depew. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Brown Christian Church (9101 Brown Church Rd, Kinmundy, IL 62854). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Edgewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Alice's memory to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Oil Belt Christian Service Camp.
