She is survived by: her children, Charles Randall Engel (Patty) of Farina, Susan Hoehne (Arthur) of McAlestar, Stanley Engel (Jody) of Lafayette, Jane Payne (Gary) of Kinmundy, Twila Stanford (Kelly) of Lafayette, Gale Engel of Kinmundy, Jennifer Michel (John) of St. Peter, Chris Engel (Tami) of Olney and Kara Bonfield (Kevin) of Downers Grove, Illinois; and her brothers, Bill Washburn (Barb) of Olney and Keith Washburn (Marie) of Springfield, Illinois. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carolyn's memory to the Kinmundy Christian Church - Loaves and Fish Program.
