With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wanda McMurray of Kirkland, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 8, 2025 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wanda McMurray to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Chapman and Alice Chapman (Robinson); her stepfather Harry Melvin; and her siblings, Linda Johnson and Charlie Chapman.

She is survived by: her husband Donald McMurray, Sr.; her children, Don Jr. McMurray (Dorrie), David (Ken Konwinski), Lori Stover (Donny Miller), Emily Harvel (Josh), Sarah Hyde (Kenny Morgan) and Douglas McMurray (Christina); and her siblings, Bill Chapman (Wanalynn), Richard Chapman (Shirley) and Debbie Jones (Bobby). She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family in care of the Slater-Butala Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St. PO Box 8, Genoa, IL. 60135.
