He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. Mitchell and Dorothy Mitchell (Bainbridge); and his son Seth Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Ann Davis; his children, Robert James Mitchell (Jennifer) of California, Brittney Leigha Infinger (Don) of Florida and Jesse Clark Mitchell (Jamy) of Florida; his stepsons, Christopher Thomas Earnhart of Chicago and Daniel Paul Earnhart (Renae) of Bunker Hill, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jacob B Mitchell, Kelsey B Mitchell, Chazie Infinger, Luke Infinger, Westyn Mitchell, Dawson Mitchell, Dewey Earnhart and Zelda Earnhart; his sister Rebecca "Becky" Wessels (Zack) of Knoxville; Lady May Mitchell.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home - Knoxville (120 N Public Square, Knoxville, IL 61448). A memorial service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
