He was predeceased by: his siblings, Benjamin Kelfier Sylvie (late Patricia), Jessie James "Tiny" Sylvie (late Martha), Lawrence Edward Sylvie, Numa Sylvie (late Lula), Aleta Moran (late Raymond), Isabel Arceneaux (late Joseph), James Roy Sylvie (late Dolores) and Lynell "Doc" Couty (late Patricia Ann).

He is survived by: his wife Judith Sylvie; his children, Janine Palm (Don), Gary Sylvie (Janet), Daniel Sylvie (Alisa), Kim Stawiarski (Kevin), Tammy Ross (David) and Jacqueline Sylvie; his grandchildren, John Duda, Anthony Vitagliano (Lauren), Amanda Kuglich (Jeff), Alice Sylvie, Raquel Valle (Nate), Joshua Sylvie, Samantha Stawiarski, Nichole Benson (Brad), Tess Galvan, Rachael Larsen and Lauren Larsen; his great grandchildren, Cash, Matteo, Giovanni, Luna, Eleanor, Harrison, Drew and Sadie; and his sisters, Julia Brossett (late Oscar) and Rosa LLorens (late James). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd. (9445 31st St, Brookfield, IL 60513).
