He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Leona Varchetto; his children, Tracy Varchetto, Matthew Varchetto (Lori) and Brett Varchetto (Maria); his grandchildren, Ethan (Isabel), Brandon, Megan, Zachary (Daniela), Alexa, Dominic, Ashley, Taylor, Angelo, Gabriella and Chloe; his great grandchild Elias; and his sister Valerie Kleinberg (late Richard). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
The lying in state was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Louise de Marillac Church (1144 Harrison Ave, La Grange Park, IL 60526). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
