With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Therese M. (Lyons) Hawks of La Grange Park, Illinois, who passed away on August 23, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard W. Lyons and Cecelia Lyons (Carton). She is survived by: her children, Julie Hawks (Reggie Thigpen) of Bolingbrook, IL and Mark Hawks of Des Plaines, IL.; her grandchildren, Amanda Manning, Kendra Thigpen, Adriana Thigpen and RJ Thigpen; her great grandchildren, Briana Manning, Elijah Manning, Layla Hernandez-Bullock and Meeya Hernandez-Bullock; and her cousins, Helen Traglia and Mary Comeford.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (329 Pine St, DeKalb, IL 60115). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials can be made to the family to be established at a later date.
