He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Russell and Myrtle Russell (Briscoe); his friend Kathryn Russell; and his siblings, Delmar Russell, Albert Lee Russell, Helen Torrance and Louise Link.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mildred Jones and Donna Bennett (Ron); his children, Ronald Covert (Beth) of LaHarpe, David Covert (Brenda) of Dallas City, Shirley Johnson (Darrin) of LaHarpe, Henry Worley of Lomax and Rebecca Burgdorf (Christopher) of LaHarpe; his grandchildren, Joshua Covert (Nicole), Kaela Covert, Krista Covert, Brian Covert, Matthew Covert (Amber), Lorrie Harl (Logan), Jessica Ryner (Dawson), Kane Burgdorf and Tegan Burgdorf; and his pet Linney. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
