He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Brewer and Betty Brewer (Howe); his wife Penny Collins-Woodside; his son Greg Brewer; his in-laws, Owen and Louise Collins; his stepson Jerome Woodside; and his siblings, Mel Maynard and Kevin Brewer.

He is survived by: his daughter Karri Brewer-Wallace of LaHarpe; his grandchildren, Bryce Marsden (Kahlen Seitz) of LaHarpe and Myah Wallace; his girlfriend Carol Wilson of LaHarpe; his siblings, Sarah Foxall (Ken) of Macomb, Donna Newlan of Dallas City and Terry Brewer of Dallas City; his brother-in-law Tom Maynard (Amanda Donaldson) of Pontoosuc; and his pet Waffles. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund has been established for Myah Wallace's education.
