With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eugene Gallegos of La Salle, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 4, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gallegos and Mary Gallegos; his wife Darlene Safranski; and his siblings, Tere Rutledge, Charles Spears and Karen Landmessfer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tina Griffith (Patrick) of La Salle and Cheryl Escalente of Pueble, CO.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
