He is survived by: his wife Nancy Pavy of La Salle; his daughters, Amy Mertes of La Salle and Katie Layden (Julio Sanchez) of La Salle; his grandchildren, Julius, Marissa Sanchez, Callie and Kiera Mertes; and his siblings, Kathleen Ladzinski (Mike) of Peru, Rita Santoro (Kenny Stiles) of Florida, Kevin Layden (Gina) of Arizona and Dennis Layden of California. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
