He was predeceased by: his mother Verna Salazar (Bracey); his stepson Tommy Milby; and his cousin Jim Lattin. He is survived by: his father Demetrio Salazar; his wife Sandy Mequish; his daughters, Brianna Salazar (Danny Konczak) of LaSalle and Brittany Salazar of LaSalle; his stepson Terry Milby Peru (Amber); his sisters, Angie Zupancic (Frank) of Peoria and Petrita Salazar of LaSalle; his grandchildren, Vaniya, Marceline Konczak, Cash Salas and Creed Salazar; his stepgrandsons, Dylan and Cody Milby; and his pets, Jax, Luna and Willow. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Fya (126 Marquette St, La Salle, IL 61301).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family for his favorite charities.
