He was predeceased by: his parents, Dietrich Kranz and Centa Kranz; his children, Mike Kranz and Donna Fernekes (Dave); and his siblings, Chuck Kranz (Sarah) and Dorothy Nielsen (Ed).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Kranz; his children, Cathy Schulze (Tim), Tom Kranz (Linda), Jackie Maturo (Mike) and Patty Mitchell; and his sisters, Carol Boynton and Ruth Zellmer. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Anne Catholic Church (120 Ela St, Barrington, IL 60010). A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery (1185 W Algonquin Rd, Palatine, IL 60067).
