It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Voorhees Ebbert of Lake Bluff, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though John Voorhees may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John Voorhees touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon; his parents, Carol Ebbert and John F. Ebbert; and his sister Evelyn M. Ebbert. He is survived by: his children, John S. Ebbert and Susan Vogg (Mark); his grandchildren, Amanda Moritz (Eric), Lauren Vogg (James Neiweem), Kristin Valente (Alex) and Elizabeth Vogg (CJ Wurster); his great grandchildren, Beatrice Mae and Theodore Joseph Moritz; and his cousin Marcia Nolan (Patrick).
