He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Marek and Elsie Marek; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Marge"; his children, Dan (Katherine) and Lara Marek (Jeff Appeltans); and his grandchildren, Maille, Anna, Will Marek and Flynn Appeltans.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wenban Funeral Home (320 Vine Ave, Lake Forest, IL 60045). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
