Edward A. Siegler Obituary

Edward Arthur Siegler, a proud veteran of the US Army, passed away peacefully October 22, 2022 at the age of 84. Father of Kirk (Dione) Siegler, Kristi (Emery) Vamos, and Kerri (Cary 'CJ') Stockin. Grandfather to Samuel (Melissa) Vamos, Andrew (Emily) Vamos, Jacob, Joshua and Jessica Stockin, Riley, and Dylan Siegler. Great-Grandfather to Cassidy Vamos. Brother of Charles 'Chuck' (Judy), Robert 'Bobby' (Gloria), Carl (Carolyn), Archie and Gloria. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The son of the late Arthur and Clara (Dietzman), born in Wilton Township, IL on May 10, 1938.

Ed served more than 20 years in the US Military, between active duty and US Army Reserve Command. Upon leaving the Reserves, he went to work as a civilian for the Army at both Fort Sheridan, IL and Fort McPherson, GA until retiring in 2000.

Ed was fond of good jokes, gardening, and even raising bees. Ed was a proud supporter of The Second Amendment, an excellent marksman, and a lifelong member of the NRA.

Ed was preceded in death by infant daughter, Regina, and his sister Roberta 'Sue' Livingston.

Ed will be laid to rest on November 8th at 1:00pm at Fort Sheridan National Cemetery in Lake Forest, Il with full military honors.
