Elizabeth Kangas Miller Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Kangas Miller of Lake Forest, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 11, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father J. Eugene Kangas; and her sister Mary Kangas (Richard S. Miller). She is survived by: her mother Irene S. Kangas; her significant other Paul Shoemaker; her children, Caelan Ford (Aven) and Christopher Johnson (Brianne Sullivan); her significant other's children, Logan Shoemaker Russo, Benning Shoemaker, Colby Straus (Eric) and Nikki Garey (Brian); her grandchildren, Harris, Emmeline, Gwyneth, Shoshana Ford, Thomas Russo, Clara, Everett Straus and Jordan Miller; and her siblings, Clare Kangas (Ed Robbins), John Kangas (Wynn Chen), Tracy Kangas (Christian Ledet) and Kristina Kangas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest (700 N Sheridan Rd, Lake Forest, IL 60045).
