He is survived by: his wife Loretta Shumate; his children, Wendy Shumate-Wisinski (Chris), Heidi Gonzales (Tony) and Tim Shumate; his grandchildren, Myrium Shumate, Justin Gonzales, Jonah Wisinski and Micah Wisinski; his brother Jim Shumate (Nancy); and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Nagel and Karen Fjellander (John). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
