We announce the death of Laurence J. Dunn (Lake Forest, Illinois), who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 83. Laurence will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Laurence will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Laurence will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Laurence’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Dunn and Mary Dunn of Lake Forest; and his siblings, Kathy Baratta (Bob) and Edward J. Dunn, Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Sheila Wolverton (Bill), Patty Holland (Jim), Peggy Kane (Doug), Ann Ryan (Kevin) and Frank Dunn.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Patrick Church (991 S Waukegan Rd, Lake Forest, IL 60045). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, 721 N. La Salle Dr, Chicago, IL, or Mundelein Seminary of the Archdiocese of Chicago, 700 Principal Ave, Mundelein, IL.
