It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patrick Roemer (Lake Forest, Illinois), born in Evanston, Illinois, who passed away on May 8, 2020, at the age of 18, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Dave Roemer and Claude Mazzocco; and his pet Cici. He is survived by: his parents, Frederica Roemer (Fronzie) and Stephen Roemer; his siblings, Benjamin and Magdelene; his grandparents, Carol Heitman Mazzocco, Peter Heitman and Mary Roemer; and his aunts and uncles, Whit (Holly Heitman), Kirstian (Brad Warkins), Duncan (Christina Heitman), Phillip (Lisa Roemer), Maureen (John Walsh) and David (Bry Roemer). He is also survived by 17 cousins.

In light of Patrick's battle with depression and anxiety and the sadness left in its wake, the Roemer family and their friends are in the process of creating a foundation dedicated to supporting young people who are suffering from mental illness.
