Richard Sloan Wilbur D. J.D. Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Sloan Wilbur D. J. D. of Lake Forest, Illinois, who passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Blake Colburn and Mary Caldwell Wilbur of Palo Alto, California.; his wife Betty Lou of Phoenix; and his siblings, Charles Wilbur and Lorraine Dicke.

He is survived by: his sons, Andrew (Debra) of Lake Bluff, IL, Peter of Chicago, IL and Thomas (Rosseta) of Lake Forest, IL; his grandchildren, Karen, Curtis, Clayton, Elsa and Catherine; and his siblings, Mary Ives Harrison and Colburn Wilbur of Palo Alto, CA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dick held executive positions in a host of medical organizations, including the AMA, Baxter Laboratories, the Red Cross, and MedicAlert Foundation.
