It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas D. Ahern (Lake Forest, Illinois), born in Duluth, Minnesota, who passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Ahern and Robert Ahern; his siblings, Jane Toon (Bill), Robert, Doe Thackston (John) and Jim; and his sister-in-law Jane.

He is survived by: his children, Nancy Ryan (Tony), Bob Ahern (Caryn), Patty Baxendale (Scott) and Jenny Birmingham (John); his significant other Jane; and his son Tom. He is also survived by PopPop to his ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
