She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lieutenant Elmer Lawrence Johansen and Eleanor Scofield Johansen; her children, Deborah Leipzig (Thomas) of Indianapolis, IN, John Andersen Jr. (Elizabeth) of Wilmette, IL, Karen Cook (Robert) of Fort Wayne, IN and David Andersen (Mary) of Lake Bluff, IL.; her grandchildren, Elizabeth McCullough (Michael), Anne Drew (Richard), Karen Schenk (Stephen), Quinn Andersen (Charles Leger), Kelsey Andersen (Miguel Sanchez Alvarez), Sarah LaFay (Peter), Susan Shepherd (Thomas), Scott Andersen (Reia Tong), John "Jack" Andersen, Colleen Andersen (Nick DeMeo) and Margaret Andersen (Gabriel Ginorio); her great grandchildren, Madeleine, James McCullough, Theodore "Teddy", Jonathan "Jack" Drew, Linden, Daisy, Perry Schenk, Marissa, Lydia Sanchez Andersen, Andrew "Andy" LaFay, Addison, Cole, Caleb Shepherd and Bennett DeMeo; her brother Elmer "Larry" Johansen; her sister-in-law Anne Andersen (Lackie); her husband John Allan Andersen; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Andersen and Ginny Johansen.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Vail Room at Lake Forest Place (1100 Pembridge Dr, Lake Forest, IL 60045).
