He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Hanson and Hope Hanson; and his son Steven Scott Hanson. He is survived by: his wife Diane Matus; his children, Thomas and Robert Hanson of Davenport, FL; his grandchildren, Graham and Ainsley; his sister Hollis Giebelhausen (Michael); his nephews, Adam (Ashley), Matthew (Julie) and David Giebelhausen (Heather); and his cousin Kay Patterson Neff. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (1501 Deep Lake Rd, Antioch, IL 60002). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741, are very much appreciated in Scott's memory.
