He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Schranz and Karoline Schranz; his wife Theresa Schranz; his daughter-in-law Rose Schranz; and his sister Caroline Mayer (John).
He is survived by: his children, Charlie, John Schranz (Alice), Elizabeth Rupslauskas (Richard), Steven Schranz and Marijo DeLaCruz (Oscar). He is also survived by his six grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
