We announce the death of Patrick Monahan in Lake Zurich, Illinois, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 85. Patrick will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick A. Monahan, Jr. and Julia Monahan (Galloway); and his siblings, Thomas and Jeanette (Terence Meany). He is survived by: his wife Susanna Slabodnik; his children, Jill, Patrick, Christopher, Nicholas (Jill), Zane and Oliver; his granddaughters, Savannah and Kayla; and his siblings, Joseph (Katherine), Julia Ballard (late Thomas), Teresa (late Michael Fiddes) and Carole Sepulveda (Henry).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Francis de Sales Catholic Church (33 S Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich, IL 60047). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 12:45 PM at the St Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery (1185 W Algonquin Rd, Palatine, IL 60067).
