He was predeceased by: his parents, Elinor Simons and C. S. Simons; and his sister Claudia Beattie. He is survived by: his wife Caryn B. Simons; his daughters, Kelsee Courtney Simons (Chris Travers) and Britnee Joy Luburich (Nick); his grandchildren, Juliana Rose, Michael Jay and Joseph Lee; his siblings, Courtney Simons, James Simons (Stephanie Kurth) and Virginia Simons Harpold; his siblings' children, Heather Beattie, Zachary Harpold (Kim Lisak), Adam Harpold and Jonathan Beattie (Katherine); his sister-in-law Suzan Vigilante (John); and his siblings' children, Marisa Vigilante (Jordan), Maren Campbell (Rich) and John Vigilante (Kayla).
