She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Flickinger and Ethel Flickinger; her siblings, Jerry Flickinger and Evelyn Shelley; her brothers-in-law, Keith Shelley, George Schaney, Jerry Hawes and James Hawes (Cotton); her cousin Kathryn Nelson; Earl Hawes and Evelyn Hawes.
She is survived by: her husband John Hawes; her children, Tim Aurand (Colleen), Chris Knoup (Rob) and Tammy Stephan (Joe); her stepchildren, Scott Hawes (Katharine), Amanda Hawes and Abbey Rehder; her grandchildren, Cassie Garnhart (Josh), Adam Long (Meridian), Andrew Long, Trey Aurand, Kade Knoup, Brinkley Knoup, Madyson Stephan, Zac Stephan (Cassy), Kassidy Tessendorf (Greg), Blake Rehder, Sydney Riddle, Mitchell Corey and Finn Hawes; her sister Rose Marie Schaney; and her sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Davis and Denise Flickinger. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Simply Free Church (25460 Locust Rd, Lanark, IL 61046). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
A memorial fund has been established.
