He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal and Gertrude Brinkmeier (Johnson); his son Gary Brinkmeier; his sisters, Jennette Ritter (Robert), Barbara Ortt (Gerald) and Beverley Ranck; and his siblings-in-law, Frank Fryer (Sandy), Thomas Capone and Elizabeth Maurer.
He is survived by: his wife Maridy Ann Kintzel; and his children, Michael Brinkmeier of Hoover, Alabama, Anthony Brinkmeier of Orlando, Florida, Nate Linder (Becky) of Griffith, Indiana., Cheryl Mock (Johnny) of Samson, Alabama, Amy Shippy (Scott) of Freeport, Illinois and Jaymie Isom (Melvin) of Collierville, Tennessee.. He is also survived by his ten grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schwarz Park (608 S Park Blvd, Freeport, IL 61032). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Oakland Cemetery (2619 W Pearl City Rd, Freeport, IL 61032).
