He was predeceased by: his wife Ilene Jansma; his siblings, Richard, Tillie, William, Elliott Jr., Cora, Grace, Ruth, Michael, Peter, Joyce, Donald and James; and his parents, Elliott Jansma and Clara Jansma.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Blocker (Kenneth), Dale Jansma (Jenine), Duane Jansma (Lisa) and Darryl Jansma (Darla); and his brother Carl.
Memorial contributions may be given to First Church of Lansing (PCA) or the Alzheimer's Association.
