Jean L. Karl Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jean L. Karl of Lansing, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 9, 2025 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jean L. Karl to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her sister Jane; and her husband Jack Karl. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Karl, Janet Karl, James Karl (Jennifer) and Jennifer Avenatti (Robert); her grandchildren, Kirby Cheesman (Michael), Katherine Karl, Brianna Karl, Joseph Karl, Tyler Avenatti, Elizabeth Karl, Ryan Avenatti and Megan Karl; and her great grandchildren, Wyatt Cheesman, Jemma Cheesman, Corrin Cheesman and Ila Maldonado.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home (3227 Ridge Rd, Lansing, IL 60438). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Saviour Lutheran Church (19058 Burnham Ave, Lansing, IL 60438).
