He was predeceased by: his brother Manuel Funtall (late Joyce); and his parents, George Funtall and Cinderella Funtall. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Funtall; his children, Brandon Funtall, Melissa Eberts (Jason) and Sarah Hays (Matthew); his grandchildren, Nathanael, Michael, Abigail, Jude, Mae and Elizabeth; his sister Athena Carberry (late Matt); his brother-in-law David Kolton (Sonja); his nephews, Christopher, Jarrett, David and Kevin; and his niece Lisa.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Ln, Dyer, IN 46311). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
