He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Burns. He is survived by: his daughter Kelly Burns; his siblings, Terry Burns (Kim), Mark Burns and Scott Burns (Peggy); and his sister-in-law Linda Burns. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM at the Burns Kish Funeral Homes & Cremations - Munster (8415 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN 46321). A Mass was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Church (8501 Calumet Ave, Munster, IN 46321).
