He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Buss and Minnie Buss (Lolling); and his brother Russell Buss. He is survived by: his wife Dixie (Barnes); his children, Dena Rea (Frank) and Nathan Buss (Ashley); his grandchildren, Kayla, Breann, Lacy, Aaron and Henry; his stepsons, James Brown (Rachel) and Larry Brown (Elizabeth); and his brother Leroy Buss (Dawn). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
