It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Eric Cloys of Lawrenceville, Illinois, who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lexie Cloys and Motye Garrett; and his siblings, Thomas Cloys, Betty Knox and Faye Young.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Walton Kelly; his children, Christopher Cloys (Mandy) of Chattanooga and Cheri Morris (Lance) of Owensboro, Kentucky; his stepchildren, Bryon Kelly (Jacole Nicolini) of Lawrenceville and Jamie Kay Bump of Lawrenceville; his grandchildren, Lily Sturch, Violet Love-Cloys, Ivan Love-Cloys, Leif Cloys, Benjamin Morris, Amie Morris, Joseph Morris, Cassondra Brian (Jed), Shandy Holmes (Justin), Brianna Kay Volkman (Noah) and Kelly "Slim" Bump; and his sister-in-law Betsy Cloys. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home (1303 12th St, Lawrenceville, IL 62439).
