It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Tykal of Lawrenceville, Illinois, who passed away on October 28, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard L. Tykal and Marcella Ivers Tykal; and his sister Diane Tykal. He is survived by: his children, Andrea Dehler of Belleville, Brette Smith of Collinsville, Katy Dutton of Seattle and Dawn Patton of Springfield, Illinois; his grandchildren, Tessa, Mia, Anna Grace, Ian, Evelyn Quinn, Hudson Thomas, Blake Larene and Hunter; his sister Janet Tykal; and his nephews, Andrew Jakubowski, Curtis Simmons and Clayton Simmons.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home (1303 12th St, Lawrenceville, IL 62439). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM.
