With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sharon Tewell of Lawrenceville, Illinois, who passed away on October 4, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Shafer and Louise Willis; her husband Wilbur "Bud" Tewell; and her siblings, Jack Shafer, Willie Shafer, Gary Shafer, Dick Willis and Rose Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Tewell (Marinell) of Cresson, Cheryl Ferguson (Warren) of Indianapolis and Lisa Vogel (Brent) of Avon, Indiana; her sisters, Carolyn Parish of Vincennes and Sandy Huffstutler (Jack) of Petersburg, Indiana; and her grandchildren, Heidi Greene, Chad Hobbs, Justin Hobbs, Heather Hobbs, Ashley Tewell and Ryan Tewell. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home (1303 12th St, Lawrenceville, IL 62439). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
