We are sad to announce that on July 26, 2025, at the age of 83, Shirley A. Hill of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. Waldrop and Wilma Dunning Waldrop; her husband James "Bud" Hill (Bud); her son Dennis L. Hill; her sister Sue Montgomery; and her granddaughter Samantha Hill.
She is survived by: her sons, James C. Hill (Kelly) of Lawrenceville and Jeremy Hill (Alisa) of Petersburg, Indiana; her daughter-in-law Roxie Hill; her brothers, Ronald Waldrop (Jeanniene) of Lawrenceville and Randall Waldrop (Carol) of Georgia; her grandchildren, Mackenzie Longbons (Tyler), Isaac Hill (Macee), Layne Hill, Lexie Hill, Aiden Hill, Ezra Hill and Irie Hill; and her great grandchildren, Harper Longbons, Raelynn Longbons, Cooper Longbons and Emery Longbons.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home (1303 12th St, Lawrenceville, IL 62439). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to Rising Sun Christian Church.
