Dennis Dale Alden Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dennis Dale Alden of Lebanon, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid Dennis farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Dennis is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sister Marlese Alden; his niece Laura Alden Hanson (Justin); his nephews, David VanderMolen (Annika) and Eric VanderMolen (Lisa); his great-nephews, Parker of Minneapolis, MN. and Finn VanderMolen of Minneapolis, MN.; his parents, Dale Alden and Maxine Alden; and his wife Marlene Kolbe.

He went on to become the Executive Director at the American Cancer Society, supervising a 3-county area in Southern Illinois.
