The passing of Kenneth Melton of Lebanon, Illinois, born in Pevely, Missouri leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 21, 2024 at the age of 72. He was predeceased by : his parent Paul Ray (Beulah Mae); his siblings, Barbara Lepine (Bill), Dolan Melton (Kathy), Paul David Melton and Norman Melton; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Barberis and Jennie Melton.

He is survived by : his wife Jane Mae; his siblings, Clarence Melton, Mary Caesar (Farrell), Odis Melton (Mary Ann), Richard Melton, Rita Pannier (Mary Zellerman), Joseph Melton (Lisa) and Tonya Dehn; his siblings-in-law, Ronald Barberis and Kim Lougeay; and his goddaughters, Vanessa Malecki (D. J.), Jackie Ditty (Chris) and Keri Edgington (Damien). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the George Renner & Sons Funeral Home (120 N Illinois St, Belleville, IL 62220). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Clare Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society.
