It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaVerne Heimos (Lebanon, Illinois), born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on February 5, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Vernon Silvey and Mildred Isabell Sterrett; her husband Emery Heimos; her daughter Midge Schmidt; and her granddaughter Molly Heimos.

She is survived by: her siblings, Charles, Ollie, Tippie and Warren; her child Tippie; her sister Joyce Marie Mathis; her son Michael Heimos (André); her son-in-law Scott Schmidt; her children, Sue Guglielmo (Tony), Eric Heimos (Lisa) and Jody Heimos (Casey); her grandchildren, Courtney, Lanie, Jesica Schmidt, Allison, Alex, Kaela Guglielmo, Emeline, Cecelia, Caroline, Amelia Heimos, Sophia, Silas and George Heimos; and her great grandchildren, Faith Schmidt, Emery and Amir Guglielmo. She is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.
