It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Hecathorn of Leland, Illinois, who passed away on November 1, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edward Hecathorn to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hecathorn and Marjorie Hecathorn (Boltz); and his siblings, Nancy Hecathorn, Betty Klein and Armin Hecathorn.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Miller; his daughters, Rachel Hecathorn and Jessica Jewell (Josh); his granddaughter Piper; and his siblings, Rick Hecathorn (Phyllis), Don Hecathorn (Mary) and Carol Koch (Richard). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Turner-Eighner Funeral Home (13160 US-34 W, Somonauk, IL 60552). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 at 11:15 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Leland Fire Department.
