With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eleni Giannakopoulos of Lemont, Illinois, who passed away on March 9, 2026 at the age of 15. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by: her parents, Sotirios "Sam" Giannakopoulos and Angela Giannakopoulos; her siblings, Niko and Georgia; her grandparents, Georgia, Sarantos Giannakopoulos, Eleni Apostolou and Peter Paros; her aunt Eleni Hernandez (Matt); her uncle Ted Paros (Stacy); and her cousins, Natalia, Melina, Valentina Paros, Mary and Niko Hernandez.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations in Eleni's honor.
