The memory of John M. O'Brien (Lemont, Illinois), who passed away on June 16, 2025 at the age of 66, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. As we bid John farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For John is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rita; his sons, Patrick (Ellen) and Joseph (Andrea); his grandchildren, Ronan and Maeve; and his parents, Jack and Jane.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (200 E Illinois St, Lemont, IL 60439). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) or Brother Rice High School (https://www.brotherrice.org) in memory of Jack are greatly appreciated.
