As Irene departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Irene. Though Irene may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Paul and Grace Paul (Ilgen); her husband Dean Amendt; and her daughter Linda R. Benninger (Amendt). She is survived by: her son-in-law James Benninger of Hurley, WI; her grandchildren, Kerri Lovell (Scott) of St. John, IN and Matthew Benninger (Melinda) of Marquette, MI; and her great grandchildren, Ava, Jacob Lovell, Caleb and Nathaniel Benninger.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lena Burial Park.
