Junice E. Shippee Obituary
We announce the death of Junice E. Shippee (Lena, Illinois), born in Washington, Illinois, who passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 92. Junice will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Isely and Leona Isely (Hefty); her husband John Shippee; her siblings, Daryle, Roger, Erling, JoAnne Bruehlman and Marlys Isely; her sisters-in-law, Joyce, Carol, Dorothy and Ann; her stepmother Charlotte; her niece Laurel Bruehlman; her nephew Gerald Bruehlman; and her brothers-in-law, Dan Dugan and John Bruehlman.
She is survived by: her siblings, Eldon (Sally), Don (Paula), Alan (Iola), Angie Dugan and Imogene Wilner (Craig); her stepchildren, Paula Sue "Susie" (Larry) and Larry (Anna); her grandchildren, Sara Wallace (Gabe), Mike, Sam and Emma; and her great grandchildren, George and Julian. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Leamon Funeral Home (210 W Main St, Lena, IL 61048).
A memorial has been established in her name for the Rockford Rescue Mission and the Wisconsin Rural Bible Crusade.
